Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Engineering Building at Sunny Hills High School
Sunny Hills High School (SHHS) students, staff members, and community supporters celebrated with a Ground Breaking Ceremony on campus Friday, December 9, 2011. The event marked the beginning of construction of a new 9,000 square foot building to house the SHHS Engineering Building which will include classrooms, restrooms, office space, and storage. Golden Bell Award Received by Buena Park High School Agriculture Program
The Fullerton Joint Union High School District is pleased to share the recent awarding of the California School Boards Association (CSBA) Golden Bell Award to Buena Park High School’s (BPHS) Agriculture Program. The CSBA Golden Bell Awards program recognizes exemplary programs in 22 major categories, which are essential to support teaching and learning. Pupil Attendance Calendar Information Update
Pupil Attendance Calendar (PAC) – As stakeholders are aware, it has been proposed that the school year begin and end two weeks earlier in order to improve student achievement. Based upon the significant amount of advice that the Superintendent has received from all District stakeholder groups, such a change should not be implemented any earlier than the 2013/14 school year. Therefore, it will be recommended to the Board of Trustees that the dates for the 2012/13 school year conform as closely as possible to the dates of the 2011/12 school year. Regarding the possible implementation of the proposed PAC change in 2013/14, additional process work still needs to be completed prior to formalizing a recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
